Hola!

Well we are finally getting around to writing a post. While I sit in bed and rest from my epic bike crash (more on that later), I figure what a perfect time to get this thing going. There are a few main goals we have in writing this blog:

1. To document our first, big, family trip;for ourselves, family, friends, and all else who care to see.
 2. To hopefully inspire other little families like us to do the same. The world is a big and beautiful place! There is so much to be seen, felt, and explored, so why not do it now and with the ones you love most.
 3. On the quest to inspire, to also show that IT CAN BE DONE!!! Soooo many people I've talked to about this trip have said, "I(we) could never do that", but let me tell you, YOU CAN!

"If you think you can or you think you can't, you're right"

 Sooooo....

Traveling here was super fun. We were all so excited. We got to the DFW airport quite a bit too early, but we just chilled and ran the kids until they were tired. Which never happened. The first flight was somewhat interesting. Long seeming. Neither of our kids slept and it was a bunch of just figuring out things they could do to keep intertained. Our first flight was delayed and we only had a 55min. layover in FL. All those who travel know this can pose a problem in the flight world. Planes leave on time, with or without you.

It was like the old school movie Home Alone.

Frank had Levi on his shoulders and I had Sofie in the carrier and we RAN.

Fast!

We just barely made it to our connecting flight. I guess there is a curfew in Costa Rica (at the airport) the airlines have to abide by. If the plane doesn't leave on time to get to CR by a certain time, they make you wait until the next day. Thank goodness we made it. Both kids slept the whole second flight. We arrived in San Jose, Costa Rica at about 1230am (MST). We got our bag and exchanged some US dollars for some colones(Costa Rican money). After all said and done we got a taxi and asked him to take us to the Mango Verde Hostel, where we had reservations. We got there at about 2am. They were closed...
